After surviving the year’s deadliest firefight in Afghanistan, Sgt. Eric J. Harder made a humble request. The Fort Carson soldier phoned his mother, Mary Henry of Minneapolis, and asked her to mail over a Minnesota Twins baseball cap. Not for himself, but as a token of gratitude for a new brother.

2nd Annual European Festival

September 26, 2009 - 10:00am - 10:00pm

Saturday, September 26th  from 10 am to 10 pm, the 2nd Annual European Festival is happening at Civic Green Park. This unique event includes numerous performers representing many European countries, European cuisine, history and traditions.  The Latvian Culture Center will have a Latvian  booth (Booth #12) with information about Latvia and some Latvian items for sale. Come visit us!!
