An Evening with Jurmalnieki!

Join us at the Center for an evening with Denver’s Latvian folk band

Nothing formal, just a fun evening of music, socializing, snacks and drinks!

This month - FOLK DANCING! The Latvian Dance Group VIRPULITIS will perform - and then lead some dances and traditional singing and dancing games - or "rotalas"

Bring your instrument and play a tune or two.

$2.00 donation per person. Snacks, Cash Bar.

Saturday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Sunday, 10:30 am to 1:00 pm (following church service)
Hot, Latvian-style lunch will be served on both days from 11:00 am

The 91st Anniversary Celebration of Latvia's Independence

The Commemoration of this event will take place on
Saturday, November 14, 2009 - 6:00 pm at the Latvian Center - $20 per person, $10 for students.

2nd Annual European Festival

September 26, 2009 - 10:00am - 10:00pm

Saturday, September 26th  from 10 am to 10 pm, the 2nd Annual European Festival is happening at Civic Green Park. This unique event includes numerous performers representing many European countries, European cuisine, history and traditions.  The Latvian Culture Center will have a Latvian  booth (Booth #12) with information about Latvia and some Latvian items for sale. Come visit us!!

Stained Glass Window Dedication & Celebration

The Latvian Culture Center of Colorado and The Denver Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church request the honor of your presence for a CELEBRATORY CHURCH SERVICE & LUNCHEON

A dedication of the new stained glass windows as well as a memorial tribute to Dr. Prof. Ludis Bērziņš and the many members from our Latvian Community whom these windows honor.

Service begins at 9:30 am in the church sanctuary. Luncheon to follow.
